• Once the computer finishes booting up the operating system, open your antivirus program and use the "Update" function to download the latest set of virus definitions from the internet.
• Run a scan of your computer using your antivirus program or an online scanner. Once the scan is finished, remove any infections that are found, the restart your computer and allow it to boot up normally.
• Confirm that the virus has been removed from your computer by running another virus scan once your computer finishes starting up.
